Grazing Horse
Description:
An extremely large and magnificient ivory study of a grazing horse, standing with head lowered and the four feet together, well balanced. The tail sweeping round at the back. A long rope with a large loop passes across the animals back down to the hindlegs of the horse. The hindlegs are tied together to prevent from running away.

Eyes inlaid. There might be an old restauration on top of the ropes. Boldly carved hairwork, ivory stained and well patinated.
